26-year-old Unathi is originally from the Eastern Cape, now living in central Durban. She completed her matric at Zwekibongile High School and pursued further studies in Financial Management at a TVET college, where she studied for three years. Unathi is an only child and a proud mother of two. After the loss of her parents, she found strength and support in herfamily, which now includes her aunt, uncle, and children. She values the strong bond they share and describes her family as one that always takes care of each other. Beyond her studies and family responsibilities, Unathi has found deep passion and peace in weaving. She especially enjoys working with patterns, which she finds therapeutic and fulfilling. “Even if I feel down or stressed, my job takes all that away and I just forget and do what I love,”she shares. Outside of work, Unathi enjoys reading, watching series, and attending church, where she finds spiritual renewal and a sense of community.
